Thanks for your interest in joining the GYST Assistant Team. GYST is a modern personal assistant service, and not a traditional staffing, permanent placement or temp agency. GYST Assistants make up a 20+ hour work week by working with anywhere from 1-4 ongoing, regular clients and are employed directly by GYST.

“Working at GYST has allowed me to hone my proactive, interpersonal and professional business skills while providing top notch service to high profile clients in the NYC area. I have been able to accomplish large-scale projects I never thought possible before while knowing I have a savvy, energetic and trustworthy team to turn to whenever I may need.“
“I so appreciate the GYST business model – the multi-client and partially remote structure allows me to use my special set of skills and experience to help enrich the lives of others while also pursuing my own goals. GYST focuses on setting both client and assistant up for success, and in a field where working as a typical assistant is a lot like being a lonely superhero, it’s nice to have a squad of keyed-in, communicative, and friendly Avengers at your back and on your side.”
“Simply put, I love working at GYST. The experience of the assistants here is truly valued because the company was built BY assistants. These are experts in their field who want to do the utmost to set both assistants and clients up for success. I feel incredibly supported in a job that tends to lend itself entirely to self-sufficiency.”
“I absolutely love working at GYST. The team is extremely communicative, supportive and full of resources to help me be the best assistant I can be. As a long time freelancer, I also appreciate the security provided by GYST in being a W2 employee with the ability to accrue vacation days, sick days, starting a 401k, getting a transit check and having backup helpers at the ready in case of emergency. For a job where you are frequently on your own, GYST makes me feel like part of an unstoppable team.”
“Working with GYST has made my life such a pleasure. The caliber of clients we work with are impressive and keeps me motivated to provide the best services possible. But the best thing about GYST is when it comes to providing top notch service to our clients the GYST staff and team are always there to support each other which is why I think we are so successful.”
“As a GYST assistant, I’m able to use my unique set of skills and experiences that, in the end, contribute to the betterment of highly accomplished individuals who make the world go round.”
