PERSONAL ASSISTANT SUPPORT, including but not limited to:
errands, task management, correspondence, family calendar management, research, travel arrangements, gifting, light bookkeeping, event planning, system design and maintenance
HOME ORGANIZATION, including but not limited to:
organization of items and documents, donation coordination, collections and memorabilia archival storage, design and implementation of storage solutions
PACKING + MOVING, including but not limited to:
moving logistics coordination, moving day management, packing and unpacking, sourcing of temporary housing and permanent residence
RENOVATION, DESIGN + DECOR, including but not limited to:
project organization and management, vendor sourcing, timeline coordination
maintenance of home and household staff, management of repairs, preparation for residency, seasonal upkeep, correspondence and bill pay
EVENT MANAGEMENT, including but not limited to:
in home, large scale, and corporate events, venue and third party vendor sourcing and coordination, logistics management, event elements design and execution, day of event management and full event execution
Step 1: You fill out this form, and we will give you a call to learn more about you and your support needs.
Step 2: You will have a brief phone call with a member of our Client Experience team so we can learn more about you and your support needs, and share more about working with GYST.
Step 3: After our call, we will schedule a 30 minute complimentary session with the GYST assistant we think will be a perfect fit. During your time together, you should get to know one another, review your scope of work and make a plan for how to get started. We will also send you resume highlights of the suggested assistant and our Client Agreement for review.
Step 4: Once you’ve completed our Client Agreement you can get started with your assistant according to the plan outlined in your 30 minute complimentary session.
GYST is dedicated to providing expert support in a maximally safe, secure and flexible model for our clients and assistants. Unlike other assistant services, GYST assistants are employees of GYST, fully vetted, have had background checks, and are insured and bonded. This means you have no employer responsibility or liability for working with a top notch assistant part time. Plus, our assistants have at least 3 years of high level experience, and can apply that experience to work more efficiently on your behalf. GYST assistants have the support of our leadership team and of our assistant team, plus access to our resources on an ongoing basis, enabling them to make things happen even more quickly and thoroughly for our clients.
Our clients include individuals, entrepreneurs, families, and professionals across industries. Our assistant team is comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds and work experiences so you will always be matched with an assistant who is familiar with your circumstances.
GYST headquarters are in Manhattan, and we currently serve clients in Manhattan, Brooklyn, some areas of Queens, the Hamptons, Southwest Connecticut, Westchester and Hudson counties, and select areas of New Jersey. Our personal assistants are available to travel anywhere conveniently located on the Metro-North and LIRR lines, including Southwest Connecticut and The Hamptons.

GYST assistants are pros who will help you learn how and what to delegate as you go. All GYST assistants are very proactive, and will not only take care of the tasks on your list but will often suggest additional or follow on tasks to take care of for you too. For starters, we suggest reviewing your entire to do list with your assistant, noting any priority or urgent items, and letting your assistant suggest a plan for how she will get it all done. If this is your first assistant, let your GYST assistant take the reins and provide feedback whenever possible to get off on the right foot.
Yes! We know how important consistency and a strong relationship is to your successful work with an assistant, and you will always work with the same GYST assistant. If your assistant needs a sick day or takes a vacation you will always have access to a substitute who will be trained by your primary assistant at no extra cost to you. Plus, you will have access to our entire personal assistant team for extra support whenever you need. Our clients especially love meeting additional assistants during the busy holiday season and when planning and hosting special events.
Yes, all GYST assistants are fully insured and bonded.
We run full criminal and motor vehicle background checks on all GYST assistants, and conduct a minimum of 5 reference checks. We have never had an issue with information security, ever. What you choose to share with your assistant is 100% up to you all of the time.

GYST assistants are able to manage just about anything, but just as we encourage you to do what you are best at, we focus on things we are best at too. GYST assistants do not handle pet care, childcare, cleaning, housekeeping or cooking. For the tasks we don’t execute ourselves, we have our GYSTLyst, full of the city’s best service providers across industries.
Your assistant can work in your home or office, or remotely. Typically assistants and clients choose to work in a combination of these environments depending on the to do list!
Nope, it’s totally up to you. Many of our clients do choose to give their assistant a key and ongoing access to their homes (or office), and others choose to leave an extra key with the doorman, housekeeper or are present at the start of every session.
GYST assistants work for anywhere between 1-5 clients at any given moment.
All assistants sign NDAs that extend to all clients and client information. We have a supplemental NDA that you and your assistant can sign when you begin working for extra security.
Sure! Based on mutual agreement, your assistant may accompany you on trips. All travel costs and accommodations are paid by the client, and a per diem will be added to the hourly rate for all travel and out of town dates.
Your assistant will clock time spent working on your behalf with specific notes about how the time was used. We bill in real time, so if your assistant spends 27 minutes working on a request, that is exactly what you will see on your bi-weekly invoice.
You will receive your bi-weekly invoice every other Monday detailing all of the hours worked the two weeks prior, and the credit card you leave on file when you complete your GYST Client Agreement at the start of our work together will be automatically charged for the invoice in full 48 hours later.

Nope! We have a 10 hour per month minimum, and other than that you and your assistant have the freedom to work together in whatever way makes the most sense to meet your goals thoroughly and efficiently.
